Frederick Douglass Tutoring LLC was started in 2018 by Jamarius Wooden, a graduate of Alabama State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics.

The mission of FDT is to provide quality tutoring services and resources that will aid students in their pursuits in mathematics.

Our Expertise

Personalized Lessons

The subjects offered at FDT include K-8 Math, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, and Calculus. We also offer test preparation services for the SAT, ACT, and GED.

Personalized Lessons

FDT provides live one-on-one and small-group tutoring sessions. We may meet in-person or online. If we cannot meet live, we also provide written lessons and video lessons which may be reviewed at your convenience.

How do we meet for a session?

For online sessions, we typically meet on Zoom, Google Meets, Skype, or another video conferencing platform. In-person sessions are held at a public place such as a library.

What is your rate?

Our rates are currently $30/hr for online sessions and $40/hr for in-person sessions with the first 30 minutes free. Written and video lessons are typically only counted according to 1/2 to 2/3 of the rate.

How do I make payments?

After our session, you will be invoiced through Square, PayPal, Venmo, or CashApp.
